What is red velvet?
The red velvet cake has been known for a long time, but nowadays there are many different kinds of velvet recipes. Red velvet cake is actually a chocolate cake with buttermilk or vinegar, this combination of these ingredients provides the red colour. Nowadays often edible dye is added to get the red colour, so also a cupcake can be red velvet.
