Description
The Renshaw rolled fondant extra from the UK is a highly elastic, but firm fondant, which is easy to use. This makes the fondant suitable for hotter and more humid climates.
The fondant doesn’t stick and has a delicious Sicilian Lemon taste. It is ideal for covering cakes, due to its smooth finish. And you can even polish away any imperfections. The fondant can also be rolled out very thinly, this makes it great for frilling. Or use it to make beautiful decorations. In short, just a versatile rolled fondant.
You need approx. 500 gram fondant to cover a round cake with dia of 24-26 cm or a square cake of 20x20 cm.

- Instructions
- Knead the fondant on a clean, dry surface until smooth and pliable.
- Lightly dust the work surface with icing sugar and roll out the fondant to a thickness of 2-4mm.
- Roll the fondant up using a rolling pin and place it over the cake. Gently smooth the top with your hand.
- Smooth the sides with the palm of your hand or use a smoother for a flawless finish. Trim away any excess fondant.
- For small cracks: gently rub with your hand or use a flexi smoother while the fondant is still fresh.
- For best results: first cover the cake with marzipan, buttercream or ganache before applying the fondant.
- Store in a cool, dry place. Wrap leftover fondant airtight.
