Prepare

Ingredients

  • 100 g unsalted butter (melted)
  • 100 g light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon LorAnn Clear Artificial Vanilla Extract
  • 2 medium free-range eggs
  • 3 bananas
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 150 g Organic Whole Wheat Flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 120 ml milk
  • 50 g sliced almonds

Supplies

  • Wilton Recipe Right® Loaf Pan 23.4 x 13.3 cm
  • De KeukenBij Silicone Reusable Baking Paper Loaf Pan 18 to 31 cm
  • Fackelmann Ice Cream Scoop Ø5cm
  • Wilton Recipe Right Non-Stick Cooling Grid 40 x 25 cm

Step 1: Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Step 2: Prepare the batter

Meanwhile, melt the butter and allow it to cool slightly.

Mash 2 bananas in a large bowl, add the eggs, and mix well until smooth. Then add the melted butter, light brown sugar, and the LorAnn Clear Artificial Vanilla Extract, stirring until fully combined.

Next, add the Organic Whole Wheat Flour and mix briefly. Add the baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt, and mix until you have a smooth batter. Finally, pour in the milk and stir until the batter is completely smooth.

Step 3: Prepare the loaf pan

Line the Wilton Recipe Right® Loaf Pan 23.4 x 13.3 cm with the De KeukenBij Silicone Reusable Baking Paper Loaf Pan 18 to 31 cm. Use the Fackelmann Ice Cream Scoop to transfer the batter into the pan and smooth the top.

Step 4: Decorate your banana bread

Slice the remaining banana lengthwise and place the two halves on top of the batter. Then sprinkle the sliced almonds evenly over the top.

Step 5: Bake the banana bread

Bake the banana bread for 50-60 minutes in the centre of the oven until golden brown and fully baked. Check for doneness by inserting a cocktail stick into the centre of the loaf. If it comes out clean, the banana bread is ready.

After baking, allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack to cool completely.
