Carefully remove the disc from the packaging and place it centrally over the cake. Make sure the cake is smoothly covered with a thin layer of buttercream or ganache so the disc adheres properly. Gently smooth the top first with a smoother, then work down the sides to remove any air bubbles.
Carefully trim any excess fondant if necessary and neatly finish the edges for a clean and professional result. For the best finish, use a sharp knife or palette knife to create smooth edges.
