• 300g unsalted creambutter
• 125 ml water
• 1 egg (approx. 50 g)

Step 1: Preparations for the Gender reveal cookies

For the first step of these Gender reveal cookies, knead the FunCakes Mix for Cookies with 150g creambutter and an egg until it's a batter. Wrap it in plastic foil and let it stiffen up in the fridge for an hour.

Meanwhile, mix the FunCakes Mix for Buttercream with 125ml of water in a bowl and beat it with a whisk. Let it stiffen up for an hour on room temperature. Now, put the other 150g of buttercream in a different bowl and beat the butter on a medium speed for five minutes. As soon as the butter is unctuous, add the mix with water to the butter in three parts. Keep mixing completely before adding a new portion. Mix the entirety for 10 minutes on a high speed until its a smooth cream. Then, colour the buttercream pink or blue, depending on the gender of the baby.

Step 2: Making the Gender reveal cookies

Preheat the oven to 180°C (convection oven 160°C), take the dough out of the fridge and knead it flexibly. Sprinkle a work surface with flour and roll the dough out on it to a thickness of about 2-3mm. Use a cutter to cut out baby feet and put the cookies on a baking tray covered in parchment paper. Place the cookies in the oven and bake them for 12-15 minutes lightly tan, let them cool off on the counter.

Do the same with the sugar paste, knead it flexibly and roll it out til a thickness of 2-3mm and use the same cutter to cut out baby feet. Colour the remaining sugar paste pink and blue. Roll the sugar paste out very thin and let it dry for 10 minutes. Cut the sugar paste into small squares and use the tappit to cut out pink and blue question marks.

Step 3: Decorating the Gender reveal cookies

Spread some buttercream in the colour of the gender of your baby in the middle of the cookies. Cover the cookies in piping gel and place sugar paste feet on top of the buttercream. Put some edible glue on the place where you want to stick the FunCakes Sugar Decorations Baby Feet in blue and pink and also stick the previously made question marks on the cookies.
