Bake a perfect a deep red coloured Red Velvet Cake with a texture that's as soft as velvet and with a subtle hint of chocolate flavour. That's what makes a real American Red Velvet Cake. Originally combined with a nice cream cheese frosting to make that red colour stand out even more. Only add vegetable oil, eggs and water to prepare this perfectly red cake of confectioner's quality.

Fun fact, you don't necessarily have to use it for the classical red velvet cake, it can also be used to make red velvet cupcakes or red velvet cakepops!

• Preparation: See the quantity table on the package or go to www.funcakes.com for proportions and baking time. Preheat the oven to 175°C (convection oven 160°C). Ingredients need to be at room temperature. Put the mix, water, eggs and vegetable oil in a bowl. Mix for 6-8 minutes to a light batter. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan (1/2 to 2/3 full) and bake the cake in the oven. Also suitable for cupcakes (approx. 20 cupcakes with 500 g mix recipe), baking time approx. 20 minutes on 175°C (convection oven 160°C).
