Take a small amount of colour paste from the jar, for example using a cocktail stick. Always use a clean stick if you want to add more colour and wipe it onto your marzipan or fondant. For a darker or deeper colour, use more colour paste. Knead thoroughly for an even colour throughout. If you want a marbled effect, knead less. Make sure the colour paste stays in the centre to prevent too much colour on your hands. Easily remove colour paste from your hands by washing them with water and soap.
