For best results, apply the gold leaf to a tacky (not wet) surface. When working with firmer mediums like fondant, use a food-safe brush to gently moisten the area with a bit of water.
To apply, place the gold leaf face-down on your dessert and lightly rub the back of the sheet. Then gently peel it away to reveal a dazzling golden shine.
To preserve the leaf as long as possible, store the leaf in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

Gold Leaf is best applied to a surface that is slightly tacky but not wet. If you are working with a firm medium such as fondant, use a food safe paint brush to lightly moisten the desired area with a small amount of water. The surface should feel sticky to the touch, not damp.
To apply the sheet, carefully place the gold leaf face down onto your decorated surface. Gently rub the back of the sheet to help the leaf adhere, then slowly peel it away to reveal a smooth and elegant edible finish.
