These oils blend far more effectively than water-based gels, as water naturally repels fats in baking. Unlike conventional gel colours, Colour Mill Oil Blend loves the fats and oils in your creations and uses them to distribute the colour evenly.

This results in stunningly vibrant, rich and consistent shades that will not fade. Oil Blends perform exceptionally well in buttercream, Swiss meringue, chocolate, cake batter, ganache and sugar pastes. They are also suitable for flower paste, gum paste, modelling paste, marzipan, cake mixes, pastry, frostings, isomalt, piping gel, cake lace mixes and more. Thanks to the high concentration, only a tiny amount is needed to achieve intense colour. We recommend using the end of a cocktail stick to build up your desired shade gradually. Adding more drops increases colour intensity, while using less creates softer tones. The bottle is fitted with a squeeze-top dispenser lid for precise application. Colour Mill can also be diluted with alcohol to create an edible paint. Please note that due to the oil-based formula, drying times may be longer than average.
