Kingsdag Cakes by Taart van Yara

For King's Day, we collaborated with Taart van Yara to create a beautiful King's Day Cake! This cheerful cake in Dutch colors, decorated with the FunCakes Choco Drip Orange is the perfect cake to celebrate King's Day. Get inspired by Yara's creations! The base

The base of this cake is a delicious pumpkin cake. You can make your own pumpkin cake with the FunCakes mix for Carrot Cake, and instead of grated carrot add grated pumpkin to the batter. To give it the beautiful orange color, add some FunCakes FunColours gel Orange to the batter.

Decorating the cake

Yara frosted the cake with buttercream in the Dutch colors. With FunCakes' Edible Colors you give the buttercream the right colors of red and blue. With the FunCakes Choco Drip Orange the drip was made on the cake. To finish the cake, Yara sprayed orange buttercream tufts on top of the cake and sprinkled orange confetti.

The Macarons

You can make macarons to your own recipe using the FunCakes Almond flour like Yara did, or use the FunCakes mix for Macarons. Yara made the orange and gold splatters with the Sugarflair Edible Lustre Rose Gold and some alcohol.

The cupcakes

Bake the cupcakes with the FunCakes mix for cupcakes. Give them an orange buttercream topping and decorate them with some orange sprinkles.
