Looking back on 2021

The very last day of 2021 has arrived and tomorrow, we enter 2022! We think back on a wonderful year in which a lot happened in front of and behind the scenes. From our super fun collaborations to the new website and from our amazing home bakers to our growth on social media. We can't wait to see what next year brings. Keep reading if you want to know more about our most memorable moments of 2021.

The most important part is that we launched a new website this year, which we’re very proud of! Obviously, we hope you as the home baker are also very happy with our new and improved website!

We moved from Wormer to Amsterdam and added various PostNL pick-up locations throughout the entire Netherlands as an extra delivery option!

We’ve also had super fun collaborations, for example, recently we had a collaboration with Eefsfood and Soulfood. In November we participated in Hartekind Bakt, from Stichting Hartekind, in which we raised a good amount for this amazing cause!

But this year was all about you, our amazing home bakers

The home bakers who found a new hobby this year, because we were all in lockdown. The home bakers who had to entertain their children and brought them into the kitchen to get to work to achieve the best results. Those home bakers who baked and decorated smaller cakes for orders and for the smaller parties, which were allowed to be celebrated. Those home bakers who had already put their baking hobby into the freezer, but took it off the shelf again and got a newfound love for it. And we got to enjoy it too! The hashtags #deleukstetaartenshop and #deleukstethuisbakker were uses a lot and we’d like to thank you for that! We hope that in 2022 we get to see a lot more of your beautiful cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other delicious creations.

And… All of this resulted in more than 10.000 followers on all our different platforms. Because we’re not just active on Facebook! You can also follow us on Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and hopefully more platforms in the future.

It also resulted in a lot of nice interaction through our customer service! We received questions through mail, phone, chat and messenger and you rated us with a 9.2 for our service this year, which is a wonderful appreciation for our work. Of course, things can go wrong sometimes, but we always try our best to solve it with the best possible outcome for everyone!

In short, without you, our home bakers, there is no Deleukstetaartenshop. This coming year, we’ll again do everything we can to make our home bakers happy and we have a lot of great ideas about how we’re going to do that!
