Dec. 19th, 2019
The most cosy night of the year calls for self made snacks! With this inspiration for New Year's Eve recipes you can bake cakes, cupcakes, donuts, cookies and more by yourself!
New Year's Eve Cake with tiramisu filling

This festive drip cake for New Year's Eve is made out of a sponge cake with a Swiss Meringue Buttercream filling and tiramisu bavarois. This cake consists of 5 layers! Every layer is first coated with a layer of raspberry jam and caramel sauce. At the ede of each layer, a dike of buttercream is sprayed and further filled with the tiramisu bavarois. The cake is coated with buttercream and has a black deco melts drip. As a finishing touch, the cake is decorated with macarons, candles and a cake topper.
New Year's Eve Cupcakes

You can bake these cupcakes one day prior to New Year's Eve and finish them on the day itself. A tea spoon of Sparkling Wine Flavour Paste is added to the cupcake batter to add a New Year's Eve touch. The tufts on the cupcakes are Swiss Meringue Buttercream and the cupcakes are decorated with choco balls, jelly diamonds and selfmade champagne bottles made of deco melts and royal icing stars.
New Year's Eve Donuts

Do you like donuts? Then these self made donuts in New Year's Eve theme can't be missed on New Year's Eve. Roll the donuts after baking through the sugar, when they've cooled down dip the donuts in melted white and black decomelts and decorate them immediately with golden sprinkles like stars and nonpareils.
New Year's Eve Cakepops

Bake a chocolate cake and crumble this together with some buttercream. Make balls out of this, about 30g a piece. Let these harden up in the fridge. Stick some straws into the balls together with some melted deco melts and put it in the fridge again. Afterwards, dip the cakepops into melted white and black deco melts. Decorate the cake pops with some edible glitter and a self made fondant decoration.
Chocolate bonbons

We can never get enough of chocolate. So it can't be missed on New Year's Eve. These bonbons have a golden touch, which make them perfect for New Year's Eve. You can create the golden effect by sprinkling the form with a brush with alcohol mixed with some gold. For the dark bonbons in half-sphere shape, dark chocolate from Cacao Barry is used and as a filling white chocolate ganache with mandarin paste is used. The white bonbons in diamond shape are made with white chocolate from Callebaut and filled using praline hazelnut.
Meringue tower

To make this tower, make a cone shape in advance using cardboard or polystyrene foam and cover it using cling film. Make a meringue batter and use the different decorating tips to make a variation of meringues. For example, use decoratin tips 1M and 6B. Sprinkle some gold and black glitters on top of the meringue and bake them in the oven. Stick the meringues using some melted deco melts on the tower. Paint a couple of meringues gold using edible glue. As a finishing touch, add meringue drops, golden pearls and golden stars.
2020 royal icing cookies

Make these festive cookies one or two days prior so that the royal icing can dry well. Bake cookies in the numbers 2020 and in the shape of stars. Decorate the number cookies using black royal icing. When the royal icing is dry, decorate them with edible golden paint polka dots. Decorate the stars cookies with black and white frosting and some golden details.
