How did color of the year come about
When determining the color of the year, we looked at the trends and developments around us. For example, we also looked at the fashion and interior design industries, which are always slightly ahead of the cake decorating industry. The color experts at FunCakes have analyzed these findings and used them to predict the new color trends in cake decoration of 2023.

Honey Gold
Honey Gold is a warm, grayish shade of yellow. Yellow, the sunny color of optimism and cheerfulness. The gray hue of this color gives calmness. Honey is associated with the honey bee, which symbolizes rebirth, order and organization. In addition, honey is sweet, a taste we associate with softness and positivity. So the color honey gold brings out different qualities we crave after the Corona period.
Color palette 2023
In addition to Honey Gold, FunCakes has also added supporting colors to the color palette. These are all shades of gray, the shades we also often see in the fashion and interior design industries. Although the cake decorating industry is usually characterized by loud, primary colors, we will also see these shades of gray take the cake world by storm in 2023.
